I’m a recent widow and have found myself struggling to get caught up on my mortgage and HOA. Moreover, due to the increase cost of housing, my children have had been unable to find affordable living and have had to move back home. Therefore, it is essential that I do not lose my home, as it is a place for my daughter, son, his wife, and child have a safe place to live. Also, I care for my elderly parents and my father is on dialysis and has to make frequent doctor appointments with the VA from Colorado Springs to Denver and also need a place to stay in between appointments, as their fixed income cannot accommodate hotel expenses. My home has become a place of refuge.
