I have come to hard times following a divorce and taking in other loved ones at the same time. So my bills have doubled and I most importantly have been threatened with foreclosure due to an inability to pay my HOA fees. When I attempted to pay past due amounts they would continue piling on late fees and interest because I wasn’t all the caught up. Mind you I was trying to keep my mortgage up to date at the same time. I felt helpless and decided for them to take it to court and to focus on the mortgage. I felt the fees were unfair and unjust. Nevertheless, I wasn’t informed of the court date so judgment was rendered against me. Now I am forced to come up with my mortgage and half of that for the next six months in order to avoid foreclosure. I am not sure how this will happen, but I am trusting in a higher power to assist. Hopefully, I will be one of the chosen to receive assistance. I am also parenting 4 high schoolers and sending one to college this fall. She is depending on me to help her, but I only have what I have. My mortgage is a little over a 3rd of my monthly income.
