I was diagnosed with stage IIB breast cancer in 2015. I continued to work while taking chemo treatments, and even held two jobs. After having a double mastectomy and other surgeries, I was on the road to recovery. One of my jobs I had to quit because my doctor felt that it was too much for my immune system. My original job I lost due to company wide layoffs. As a result I had no medical insurance. After being laid off for five months, I found another job, only to be laid off again almost two years later. So here I am again with no insurance, trying to maintain bills and just survive.
