I am currently residing in Texas due to a job relocation 2 years ago. While in Dallas, I’ve had to move due to my son’s attempted suicide. In addition, I had to put my father who has dementia in a residential home because we had to move into a smaller apartment. My dad’s disability income is now going towards his rent and I pay out an additional $700 a month towards his expenses. The VA reduced his income and it’s been a struggle to get through the appeal. The extra expenses have caused me to fall behind on my home in Georgia that we plan to go back to in June. I would like to keep my home so that I can bring my dad back to live with me. If there is any help that can be provided I would be so grateful.
